KURHAUS HOTEL

The Kurhaus Luxury Alps Resort is a study in indoor-outdoor space in the seasonal environment. An internal courtyard in the spine of the site celebrates the light and air of the mountains. The hotel is designed to reflect the agricultural heritage of the Evolene region and to focus on the log and stone cabin vernacular within a contemporary resort context.

The mountain guide hilltop resort is a major inspiration point for the architecture and inhabitable spaces, with special care taken to celebrate seasonal activities such as skiing, hiking and year-round spa usage. The onsen wellness spa with running hot spring water, majestic views and a secret Haman undercroft make use of the mountains gifts in order to soothe tired souls.

Hidden ponds and connections into the wider wild Alps environment infuse the luxury resort experience with a taste of adventure. Natural play areas and events clearings invite guests to use the landscape for all sorts and seasons of revelry.
